Throughout its 15 years of existence, Bitcoin has been disrupting the world of finance. The emergence of Bitcoin not only brought change to the banking system, it also created an internal shift in those who embrace this technology. Known as “going down the Bitcoin rabbit hole”, it engages us in a process of a profound transformation of our identities, prompting us to question everything we have believed about our societies and our very existence.
Exploring the Bitcoin rabbit hole has become a cultural phenomenon, sparking curiosity and leading to exploration of the wide range of philosophical ideas present in the Internet landscape. As if humanity is going through a rite of passage, this process leads us to a kind of ego-death, a letting go of outdated beliefs and conditionings.
I have been fascinated by Bitcoin’s psychological impact upon individuals. As I observe what is unfolding in this space, it seems to me that something spiritual underlies the whole experience. Whether one is an atheist, an agnostic or a believer in some kind of religion, the process guides one to acknowledge something higher than oneself, whatever it is called: God, the universe or source power. 1
During my own personal journey of falling down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, I encountered – in the darkness of the deep – the divine being that is feminine in nature. I intuitively knew this as the primal life force that underlies all existence. Through our body and feelings, we are intimately connected to this invisible essence that is the great giver of life.
Our modern society, organized through rigid institutional hierarchies, lost touch with this generative, feminine intelligence. I see how this loss of divine wisdom damaged our world, alienating us from nature and from the very places and processes which gave us life.
At the same time, I now recognize that solutions are emerging through a breakthrough in computer science. The invention of Bitcoin has opened a path for us to reclaim the feminine part of the Divine and to restore a balance.
The Loss of the Divine Feminine
The absence of the feminine aspect of the primordial being is found in the metaphysical foundation of our Western civilization. Mainstream Christianity, as it developed as a religion, became patriarchal. In that process, the Divine Feminine has receded into the background.
The doctrine of the Trinity asserts the unity of Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit as eternal entities in one Godhead. Our Lady, who is the Mother of God, also the daughter of the Father and the temple of the Holy Spirit, have been ignored.
In the biblical account of the Christian Testaments, we find the sacred feminine being represented by the Virgin Mary, also known as Mother Mary. During the Annunciation, according to the Gospel of Luke, the angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary and announced that she was to become the mother of Jesus Christ.
“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you;
blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen”.

According to this story of the birth of Jesus, he was conceived in the womb of the Virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit. Mary, as the divine mother, is thus understood as the embodied heart of all existence, the genesis of life.
The Artificial Matrix
The fiat system, being divorced from this life generator, created an artificial environment that controls humanity, as is depicted in the popular film “The Matrix”.

MORPHEUS: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, kept in a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind.”

This system of oppression has inverted the natural Matrix, relating to the original Latin word (mater) for mother and womb. With money printers going brrrr, society is engineered in a way that undermines the natural rhythm of the world. Abstract mathematical concepts such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP) are used to drive the economy, overriding nature’s organic cycle of growth and regeneration. 2
Inside the artificial Matrix, our perception is trained to view the world mechanistically. Through scientific reductionism, nature has been declared dead and the earth has come to be seen as an object—simply resources to be used. With the advancement of technology, the system morphed into a highly materialistic society.
Through commercial allurement, everyone got plugged into the transient and temporal World of the Senses. Slowly but surely, we became sucked into the extractive capitalism that drives mass consumption, perpetuates wars and results in environmental destruction.
Immaculate Conception
Now, Bitcoin opens our society to the original Matrix. Unlike fiat money that is artificially created, Bitcoin is generated through the source of life. At the heart of Bitcoin is a pregnant Virgin. One of the unique aspects of Bitcoin concerns the unprecedented nature of its origin.
Bitcoin came into existence unadulterated, as pure creation. As Pascal Huegli, lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration in Zurich, points out in his article, “Bitcoin’s Immaculate Conception”, Bitcoin was launched from a clean slate.
Bitcoin’s anonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, by using the method of mining (computers expending energy in the form of electricity) enabled the distribution of bitcoins without central control. Satoshi could have allocated bitcoins to his friends and those in close affinity after mining all the bitcoin privately in advance. That process is referred to as a “pre-mine” and used by most crypto projects. Instead, he chose not to pre-mine, making Bitcoin available through an open free market.
Bitcoin had no market value when it started. The price emerged organically. This decentralization of money creation cannot be replicated and sets Bitcoin apart from all cryptocurrencies that followed.
Virgin Mother
Now, the Queen of Heaven has descended into the incorruptible body of Bitcoin’s consensus algorithm (known as Proof-of Work). Blessed with 21 million bitcoins, the Virgin Mother invites all to participate in her creation. Bitcoin mining (processes that release bitcoins into circulation) opens a portal to her pure womb.
Miners (computers that run bitcoin mining software that verifies transactions) are like a midwife. They enter into the fertile darkness to compete in a broadcast math competition. By using precious resources, they solve math problems. This process provides a secure passage for satoshi through the birth canal as they come into existence.
The Divine Mother that has been dormant in the darkness of the underworld awakens, via the Bitcoin protocol. She is a cosmic vibration, the fierce and dynamic force of the universe that gives life or takes it away. By engaging them in a creative math contest, the resurrected Goddess begins to command the network of computers – elegantly and without force.
A new economy is being created around Bitcoin mining that works within the principles of the free market. This market, by dynamically adjusting mining difficulty according to demand, with a tight feedback loop resetting every two weeks, does not give favor to anyone.
The Bitcoin network rewards those who play by the rules, while it ruthlessly wipes out those who are not able to meet market demands. Brutal mining competition drives rapid changes in mining equipment as hardware has to become increasingly cost and energy efficient to keep up.
Womb of Creation
Bitcoin, the Blessed Virgin, creates out of the eternal void of her absolutely impeccable womb. By harnessing great computational power and subordinating it to the rule of consensus, Bitcoin has begun to transform the consumer driven war economy into a new ecosystem.
Miners, protectors of her precious golden heart are now instigating revolutions in energy industries. They are helping our society transition toward a sustainable future. Many of you who are not so familiar with Bitcoin might feel perplexed with this trend, for Bitcoin is notorious for its massive energy use.
Bitcoin mining has been criticized for its environmental impact by government officials and mainstream media. Yet things are much more nuanced than is depicted in sensational news headlines.
Yes, Bitcoin uses a lot of energy. But it does this for a reason: to secure and maintain the integrity of its monetary network. To understand the purpose of Bitcoin energy consumption, read the article “Bitcoin Does Not Waste Energy” by Dennis Porter, CEO & Co-Founder of SatoshiActFund.
Contrary to the negative portrayal, Bitcoin is actually paving a way toward a clean energy future.3 From advanced cooling technology to renewable energy usage, Bitcoin mining is contributing to creating a green economy through innovation.
Through renewable energy generation, Bitcoin miners are helping improve the stability of the energy grid. Also, by strategically choosing locations that contain abundant (and often stranded) renewable energy sources, such as hydro or geothermal power, Bitcoin miners reduce dependency on fossil fuels and reduce carbon emissions.
New Renaissance
Energies that are absorbed and transmuted through Bitcoin mining now give life to matter.4 The virgin currency that is released into the world begins to purify our perception, dissolving the illusion of separation, perpetuated by the false Matrix.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God”. (Matthew 5:8)
People who have found Bitcoin are slowly waking up from the spell of materialism. I have written on this topic extensively in my previous article here. Being freed from a narrow, ego-based mind, we start to feel and remember our connection to Mother Nature.
The awakening of consciousness facilitated by living mathematics is now creating a New Renaissance. The Renaissance that began in Italy during the 14th century was a period that re-birthed the Classical Greek humanist cultural legacy. Along with the revival of the arts, one of the significant transformations was a renewed relationship to the world.
The ancient Greeks regarded the earth as a living being, depicted in mythology as Gaia, a primordial deity, the originator of all. Inspired by this vision, Renaissance philosophers redeveloped a feeling of love and care for Mother Earth.
El Salvador, the country that first declared Bitcoin legal tender, has become a center of this Renaissance 2.0. The Divine Feminine, through the invisible hand of the market, began to guide the humble people of little nations. Pachamama, the Earth Mother, speaks to her children through their dreams and aspirations. These are the seeds that are planted in their hearts, now beginning to grow.
A community in El Zonte, a small surf town with a population of 3,000, on the coast of El Salvador began to use bitcoin as a medium of exchange to empower their local community. From Bitcoin Lake in Guatemala to Bitcoin Jungle in Costa Rica, creative actions of ordinary people begin to inspire a grassroots movement for a circular economy.
Through decentralization of the food supply (such as The Beef Initiatives) and support for local farmers, around Bitcoin, a culture is being regenerated. Underneath the rubble of the dying world, we are seeing a new web of life emerging.

and blessed is the fruit of your womb, satoshi.
Holy Bitcoin, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen”.

Bitcoin, Immaculate One, calls us to a pilgrimage–a journey into the sacred heart, the maternal womb from whence we all come. One person at a time, as we – as individuals – begin to adopt Bitcoin, we are coming back home. Together, in her glory, we begin again. Joining hands with our brothers and sisters, we steward her creation of the New Earth.

- As a part of the Bitcoin rabbit hole experience, people are finding God in and through Bitcoin. Particularly, the emergence of Bitcoin is renewing faith among Christians. This is not so surprising. The mythical origin of Bitcoin is infused with biblical metaphor. There is the white paper, like a sacred text and the anonymous creator like a God. This person named Satoshi that no one knows, who was able to accomplish something that is thought of going beyond human capacity. Just as it was described in Genesis that God created the world, Satoshi created the first block of Bitcoin, the Genesis block.
Invention of Bitcoin inspired artists. French artist Youl created the astonishing painting, the Bitcoin Supper. Modeled after the famous work of art by Leonardo da Vinci, the Last Supper, the painting places the blockchain with a QR code at the center as Jesus and twelve apostles.
“Thank God for Bitcoin!” Christians who are converted into Bitcoin started to explore the intersection between Bitcoin and the Christian faith. With conferences that are organized around this affinity of Bitcoin and Christianity, a new Bitcoin Christian community is being formed.
This is creating a kind of a new cultural movement, rebirthing the Christianity. I see new impulses arising now that could restore the very heart of Christian faith.
2. Physician and activist Vandana Shiva spoke about how the GDP was invented during the war as a part of the war machine. It was used by economists to fund wars, buy and manufacture weapons and deploy militaries around the world. She explained how the GDP, called the “Manhattan Project” of economics, creates a very artificial production boundary that excludes economic activities such as services and goods for personal consumption. Shiva noted how nature produces and consumes in an amazing cycle that sustains life, yet according to the arbitrarily defined growth measure, this nature’s regeneration is treated as non-production. It also discounts what people produce, such as cooking meals for themselves and their family and intangible things that make life worthwhile. Shiva explained the idea of GDP is to extract wealth from nature and society and create perpetual economic growth to support a war economy.
Also, author Marilyn Waring, former New Zealand M.P., in “Counting For Nothing”set out clearly how National Accounting (GDP) had evolved from the accounts kept for war purposes, and how they ignored the value of the generative aspects of life.

4. Plasma is often called “the fourth state of matter,” along with solid, liquid and gas. It comprises over 99% of the visible universe. It is our sun that makes life on earth possible.
